Olympic National Park is a United States national park located on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

The park has four zones: the Pacific coastline, the alpine area

 the temperate rainforest in the west, and the dry forest in the east.  t

The park contains three distinct ecosystems, including subalpine forests and wildflower meadows

 President Theodore Roosevelt originally designated the park as Mount Olympus National Monument

Roosevelt re-designated the monument as a national park.

In 1976, Olympic National Park was designated an International Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and a World Heritage Site
