Kolkata has a population of about 1.5 crore and its official language is Bengali. It was the capital of India from 1773 to 1911.The third largest cricket stadium and second largest football stadium is located here,Kolkata was earlier known as calcutta If you come to Kolkata, don’t forget to see the world famous Durga Puja here.Let’s find out some tourist destinations in Kolkata.

1) HOWRAH BRIDGE:
Saturated on the river hoogli,this bridge is considered to be one of the national landmark in the country.it is also called rabindra setu,Construction began in 1938 and was completed in 1942.
It was opened to the public on February 3, 1943.This is a historical bridge, named after Rabindranath Tagore in 1965,this bridge was called rabindra setu.The height of this steel bridge is 82 meters and 705 meters long.
HOW TO REACH: It’s near howrah railway station,and From Sealdah you can easily get here by bus.
2) VICTORIA MEMORIAL HALL:
It is located on the banks of the Hooghly River,it is one of the measure landmark in kolkata,The palace was built in memory of Queen Victoria, It was built by Prince Wales,The Victoria Memorial Hall is built of white marble, similar to the Taj Mahal, and is a form of British and Mughal architecture.
There are 25 galleries here, in one of which you can learn about the history of the whole of Bengal.Moreover, in the rest you can find out about different types of weapons.It was established in 1921.

3) EDEN GARDENS:
It is the second largest cricket stadium in India and the third largest in the world.The stadium was built in 1864.
68,000 people can enjoy the game together here.This ground is the home ground of IPL team Kolkata Knightriders, As well as the international game is played here, the first game was played in this field in 1918.The first Test match was played between India and England in 1934. The first one-day World Cup was played on 18 February 1986 between India and Pakistan.

4) DAKHINESWER KALI TEMPLE:
This temple is located on the banks of the river Hooghly in Kolkata. Dakshineswar Kali Mandir was built in 1855 by Ranirasmani.Rani Rasmoni was a famous social worker and a devotee of mother Kali He used to go to Benares every year to pay homage makali, One day Makali came to her in a dream and said, “Build my temple on the banks of the river Ganga and worship here.
This temple is located on the banks of the river Hooghly in Kolkata. 5) BIRLA MANDIR:
The Birla Temple is an amazing structure located in bullygung kolkata,It is mainly a Krishna and Radha temple, and the 9 forms of mother Durga are shown here.Construction of the temple began in 1970 and was completed in 1998,The temple was built by the Industrial Birla Family.Birlamandir opens at 5.30 am and closes at 11 am,again opens at 4:30 pm and closes at 9:30 pm this is best places to visit in kolkata for people who follow hindism.
It is forbidden to enter this temple with a camera or a mobile phone. There is a beautiful prayer(arti) here in the afternoon,so you will try to come here in the afternoon.
6) INDIAN MUSEUM:
Indian Museum, also known as Kolkata jadughar, established in 1814, is the pride of kolkata and the whole of India.There is so much to know and learn. It is located near the Esplanade in Kolkata, the nearest metro station being on Park Street.There are bones and skeletons of ancient animals here, and coins of ancient times have been collected here. Here are some mummies from Egypt.

Located near Newtown Kolkata, the park covers an area of 460 acres.This park is surrounded by huge lake.Inside this park there are double bicycles, speed board, toy-train for traveling And inside is the seventh wonder’s made artificially.But you have to spend money for these benefits.this is the best Tourist spots to visit on New Year’s evening in Kolkata.

Princes Ghat is a most iconic tourist places to visit in Kolkata, The Princep Ghat is named after historian James Prinsep This beautiful architecture was built in 1883 On the banks of the Hooghly River And the Vidyasagar Setu adds more beauty of this monument.
Lots of people come here every day to visit this architecture A very beautiful garden has been created around Princep Ghat, most of the People are here to picnic with their families and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is amazing to sit here in the afternoon and watch the sunset along the Hooghly River.
How to reach:
You can come to Princep Ghat by train or bus If you come from Dumdum station, you can come here by cycle rail, Ticket fare is only 5 rupees And it will take 10 minutes to reach here on walk or by bus from Kolkata Esplanade.

1)ABOUT NORTH INDIA:
I will share my experiences and some guidance or tips, to my recent North India Trip with this entire blog.And I am very excited to tell you what happened with me for these days and how was my experience.or How I was able to tour the North India during this Covid-19 situation. so let’s begin guys.
2) TRAIN TICKET BOOK AND COST:
I had already done my trip plan and had booked (transportation and accommodation) the entire ticket before 1 month ago. First I book from”howrah to allahabad”train kalka mail which is cost me 7$(490INR)
April 13/2021 At 10:00 pm, my train was from Howrah to Allahabad.So i started my backpack in the morning,I had put my bag on the clothes,sanitizer, powerbank,musk,body spray and don’t forget the water bottle.
At 6:00 in the evening I had to leave the house by taking a train from halishahar to Sealdah, I reached Sealdah and then take a bus from Howrah.
5) BYE BYE KOLKATA:
By 8:00 pm I had reached Howrah station and then started waiting for my train.While I was waiting, I roamed the Howrah station and bought one bottles of water.After waiting for 2 hours, the train came to Howrah station and then I boarded the train.after 1 hours the train was from Howrah station. then I completed my dinner and go to sleep.
